Drive Airfold Carbon Fibre Electric Power Chair with Joystick Control and Airline Compliant Lithium Battery. The Drive Airfold is a work of art! Half the weight of most traditional folding electric wheelchairs, so this really can be lifted in and out of a car easily for transport, or used on a cruise ship, aeroplane or public transport, taking up very little space. When folded it's incredibly compact, but is strong, durable and solid, unlike cheaper imitations. Despite the slender appearance and ultra lightweight design, this scooter is very stable and sturdy and can carry people up to 18 stone (115kg) and fits people of all sizes including those well over 6' tall. The frame is made of carbon fibre, and is a work of art to look at, with all the benefits of this incredibly strong yet lightweight composite. If Formula 1 made wheelchairs, this would be it! The power is via twin rear wheel 250w motors, with adjustable speed settings for ease of use. Automatic electronic braking brings you to a halt whenever you release the joystick, and it is incredibly easy to drive with simple fingertip control. The joystick position can be adjusted forwards or backwards, and can be swapped for left or right handed users. Under the joystick is the charging port and also a USB so you can charge your phone or other devices on the go. The airline compliant lithium battery fits under the seat, can be removed easily for charging on or off the chair, and holds charge for weeks or months, giving you up to 9.3 miles on a single charge. These batteries are airline and cruise ship compliant, so perfect for traveling either with the battery left on the scooter, or stored safely in your hand luggage (depending on airline recommendations) Not to be confused with cheap imitations (using carbon lookalike) this is one of the best ultra lightweight electric wheelchairs you can buy, at less than half of the original price new. This wheelchair was bought for days out, trips, and occasional use. It was used infrequently and enjoyed, but always well looked after. Even when not in use, the battery was charged at least once or twice a month to ensure it remained in peak condition. The battery test shows it is maintaining 29.58v after charging which indicates maximum capacity. The batteries charge at 29.4v, so ideally should hold similar voltage. If they indicate 28v or below they are considered old and/or weaker, but this one holds charge at 29.58v which is maximum capacity - as good as when it was brand new.
